Personal remark
By inspiration from these techniques i have added 15% to my results just by changing a few things in my preparations.

Sebastian Näslund

Sebastien Murat (Australia/Switzerland)

Due to last years popular event - here it is again.

TIME: 1-2-3 september summer 2006
PLACE: Gullmaren, Lysekil, Westcoast Sweden
TRAINER: Sebastien Murat
Assistant: Sebastian Näslund

INCLUDES: Lectures, films, dry O2 experiments, pool sessions, FRC-diving, swimtechniqe, deepdives from boat (max 65 meters).

Sebastian Murat comes from Australia where he spent a few years researching at the "sports and medicine faculty". He has over the years made himself known as a pioneer in freediving with his exploring of new techniques. Now he comes to scandinavia to research and to give a clinic in advanced freediving again. Sebastien proposes a whole new way of freediving. His methods and ideas can be read here.

During the course he will show footage from his expeditions to the depths outside Borneo/papua Guinea. The course he is holding on the west coast of Sweden will include theory and landexcercises as well as pool training and deep dives from boat. There is plans of setting aside one day for personal coaching.
Sebastien claims that his techniqes can be mastered even by beginners.

The attenders of the course will live at the same place as Sebastien and the crew and there will be lots of opportunities for spontaneous talks on the mysteries of freediving.

Water temp: 22C, Visibility 5-10m

Course starts
friday evening at 18.00 with theory.
There will be a warm-up
excursion by boat at 11.00 at additional cost 17 euro (limited space)
We suggest you arrive at 15.00 at the house and hang out and chat about freediving for couple of hours. We expect you to sign a statement on your medical condition (same as for freediving competition). Please discuss with us first any special medical condition.
We will dive at three different places (depending on weather). Weather permitting there will be lunch and theory on the beautiful swedish cliffs, and finaly diving at Gaseklavan where we will find 60 meters at least. We will have the pool as a back-up in case of unpleasant weather.

Information to participants

We expect you to have the following equipment; a mask or swim goggles+ nose-plug, fins (optional), snorkel, wetsuit (5mm if you are a crybaby), weight-belt (preferably lead-shot in protective neoprene pouches to prevent damage to pool tiles during pool clinics), optional personal float (e.g., ‘noodle’), water-proof watch, adequate sunprotection, wind and rain protection, towel, water-bottle, lunch, note-pad and pen. POLAR heart-rate monitor (optional) for biofeedback, (optional)  Suunto D3 (2 nd generation ) dive computer for deep-diving.

Murat will be bringing the O2/CO2 gas analyzers for training feedback & demonstrations. It would be great if participants had their own heart rate monitors so that he can assess their dive response throughout the clinic, and the implications this may have for you personally from a performance and safety point of view. Ideally, you would need to have a Polar heart rate monitor with filing and downloading capabilities. No less than five differnt tests will be made on each participant.
